During its first year in residence, the Aestas Quartet participated in multiple academic events including highlight performances at Salon at Six, Gusto! and Kaleidoscope. Having been given the opportunity of a masterclass, Aestas performed for the highly acclaimed Borromeo Quartet in September 2023.
The quartet went on to participate and represent the school in the MTNA competition as the only string quartet to advance into the finals. As far as recordings, the Aestas Quartet completed three audiovisual works, one of which was a documentary for Reynolds Lake Oconee. The Aestas Quartet established a connection with Listesso and Fever, becoming the Resident quartet for the Columbus Candlelight Series.
The vision of the quartet expands into a social commitment to share music in different environments. As part of this vision, Aestas has not only performed in social public venues including The Livingroom and the Columbus Museum but has also started an outreach within the educational system with performances and sectionals in different public schools in the Columbus area as well. In addition, the quartet members are active members of multiple orchestras around the region.
As an ensemble, Aestas strives to create the best quality music under the instructions of Professor Sergiu Schwartz.
